Ashley Smith | Varian

Ashley Smith serves as Head of Multi-Disciplinary Oncology, leading the Varian ARIA OIS product family, the Patient Engagement Platform, Noona, InSightive Analytics, and the interoperability tools that bring the Varian software ecosystem together. Ashley is passionate about bringing tools to clinicians that can help them enhance the care they provide cancer patients around the world.

Over the course of her 17-year career at Varian, Ashley has held various roles within commercial software sales leadership across North America. In 2017, Ashley took on an international assignment which sent her to Sydney, Australia for two years to lead the Varian Australasia sales organisation for hardware, software, and service. Upon her return to the U.S. in 2019, Ashley left her commercial role to take on an R&D position leading the Varian Oncology Information System (OIS) suite of products. In this leadership role, Ashley played a key role in building out our technology-enabled solutions.

Prior to joining Varian, Ashley was co-founder and President of Oncology Plus, a chemotherapy compounding pharmacy servicing the Southeastern United States which she sold to a multinational group in 2015. Ashley studied biology and chemistry at Florida State University and holds a master’s degree in Organisational Management.
