Arthur Kaindl
Head of Varian
Arthur Kaindl is Head of Varian, a Siemens Healthineers company. In this role, he leads Varian's business operations, including execution of the organization’s fiscal goals and strategic initiatives. Dr. Kaindl is dedicated to leveraging the full potential of technology to empower physicians in the fight against cancer and enhance outcomes for patients.
Dr. Kaindl joined Siemens AG in 1995 and, for nearly three decades, has held a variety of cross-functional and leadership roles with a focus on creating technology growth strategies that leverage hardware, software, and digital solutions. Most recently, Dr. Kaindl served as Executive Vice President of Magnetic Resonance at Siemens Healthineers. Under his leadership, the business introduced seven new MRI scanners, established new markets for MRI, and pioneered innovative AI-based reconstruction algorithms. Previously, Dr. Kaindl served as Senior Vice President of Digital Health Services. From 2008-2015, he served as Chief Executive Officer of SYNGO Imaging Software, a leading provider of software and IT solutions for radiology and cardiology teams.
Dr. Kaindl holds a Ph. D. in electrical engineering from Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz University in Hanover, Germany, and a Master of Science degree in ceramics engineering from New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University. He studied materials science at the Friedrich-Alexander University in Erlangen and Nuremberg, Germany.
