Amy Hay
Head of Strategy
Amy Hay is responsible for global strategy and business development for Varian. As Head of Strategy, Amy leads strategic objectives across the organization, mergers and acquisitions, and portfolio management for the company. Her leadership has guided the company’s focus on molecular analytics, digital transformation and the power of big data aimed at enabling providers to deliver better outcomes for patients not only in cancer, but also across chronic diseases.
Prior to her current role, Amy was responsible for the deployment of Oncology Value Partnerships which aggregate advanced medical technology, clinical solutions and technology enabled services to support access to cancer care globally. In this role she was also responsible for global strategy and business development for Advanced Oncology Solutions including a high degree of focus on molecular analytics, predictive analytics, and generative AI to transform data into knowledge.
Amy joined Varian in 2020 through the acquisition of her consulting company, Evolve International, a strategic consulting firm focused on expanding global innovation through connectivity across providers, pharma, biotech, and big data to create value. Prior to that, Amy held the position of Senior Vice President, Network Development, at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. She was responsible for the initial development of Anderson’s regional, national, and international strategic deployment of cancer centers, as well as the development of the MD Anderson Proton Therapy Center.
Amy earned her BA degree in Psychology from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas and her MS in Healthcare Administration from Houston Baptist University in Houston, Texas.
